Kate Gosselin says that soon-to-be-ex husband Jon Gosselin has left her and her eight kids high and dry after draining their mutual bank account. The mom of eight said during an appearance on NBC’s Today show this morning:

When you’ve left your children and their mother without the funds to pay for the roof over their head, it’s not acceptable. I need that money to provide for them. We were in the position after our sextuplets were born that we could not pay our bills. We did the show to provide a better life for them. Never did I think I’d be back in the same position… I can’t sleep at night. I can’t pay my bills.

Kate Gosselin’s interview this morning came after a weekend where Jon allegedly removed $230,000 from the former couple’s joint bank account and left her with $1,000.  A judge had previously warned the Gosselins that neither could remove significant amounts from the account without the other’s approval.

Jon and Kate have a date with the judge this afternoon!  TMZ reports that the judge in the Kate Gosselin vs. Jon Gosselin case will hold a conference call with the Jon and Kate’s attorneys this afternoon. There could be an order forcing Jon Gosselin to return several hundred thousand dollars back to their joint account.

Jon Gosselin calls Kate’s claims that he took over $200,000 a “complete fabrication”.  Jon Gosselin went directly to the media to discuss this matter—Jon will appear on tonight’s The Insider to tell his side of things.
