Some of the good doctor’s songs are NOT good for your kids Halloween party mix! Dr. Demento’s music isn’t dirty—but some of the songs are quite twisted.

For example, some of the parents might not like it if their children come home singing the chorus from classic Demento tune, I’d Rather Have a Bottle in Front of Me (Than a Frontal Lobotomy). My kids and some of my friend’s kids have been listening to Dr. Demento for years.  My friend Liz’s daughters don’t play the violin but they know Fish Heads by heart!  You read more about Fish Heads over on Liz’s blog, Mom 101.

But one of the best songs from Dr. Demento that is perfect for Halloween is the classic They’re Coming to Take Me Away! The chorus of this song:
