Big Bird from Sesame Street is 40 years old!  Big Bird, Oscar, Ernie & Burt and the entire Sesame Street show turns 40 on November 10.  The educational show created by the Children’s Television Workshop is highlighted on Google today!  To celebrate the 40th birthday of the show, there will also be a couple of books: Sesame Street: A Celebration of Forty Years of Life on the Street, and Street Gang: The Complete History of Sesame Street.

Apple’s App Store now has over 100,000 applications!  Apple announced on today that the App Store now boasts more than 100,000 applications available for download and people have downloaded apps more than two billion times in 77 countries!

Kirstie Alley will star in a new reality series for A&E – chronicling her continuing fight to lose weight while raising two teenagers alone.  USmagazine reports the untitled reality show will run sometime in 2010.
