Could Taylor Swift win country music’s biggest honor, the CMA Awards entertainer of the year?
The Country Music Association Awards are Wednesday night (ABC, 8 ET/PT). Taylor Swift, 19, competes for entertainer of the year against George Strait, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney.
If Taylor Swift wins, she will be the award’s youngest recipient ever. Garth Brooks was 29 when he first won entertainer of the year in 1991, and Natalie Maines and Emily Robison of the Dixie Chicks were in their mid-twenties when the Chicks took the honor in 2000.
Swift is taking the award drama in stride, according to USA Today, Taylor told her mother:
I just can’t believe I get to sit in the front row this year!
