Ringing in the New Year with Dick Clark New Year’s Eve 2010 is a TV tradition for many people.
ABC has Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2010 and it’s the place to be when watching the countdown to the new decade!
The New Year’s Eve classic show features Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest in New York with Fergie live from Las Vegas and Melissa Rycroft roving in Times Square.
Performances will include Jennifer Lopez, Daughtry, The Black Eyed Peas, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Colbie Caillat, Orianthi and Robin Thicke.
The ball in New York City has been changed with Waterford crystals designed into the spectacle. The theme for the ball with the brand new crystals is: “Let There Be Courage.” The ball has over 32,000 lights on it waiting to be lit as soon as 2010 arrives.

Starting at 7pm tonight, TLC will air back-to-back specials exploring various sexual topics leading up to the premiere of all-new STRANGE SEX (10pm/9c), a one-hour special about extreme sexual disorders and anomalies. The program profiles four individuals suffering from four different conditions. and explores the intricacies, impact, and treatment, of each disorder.

10pm – STRANGE SEX
A one-hour special about extreme sexual disorders and anomalies.

Charlie Sheen feels bad. A friend close to Sheen told PEOPLE magazine that the TV star has been thinking about his life since he and wife Brooke Mueller got in a fight on Christmas Day. The friend told the celebrity magazine:
Charlie feels awful. He let himself down by drinking … [And] he wants to be with his kids.
Did he also let himself down by pulling a knife on his wife?
Jon Gosselin and Hailey Glassman are trying to play nice in front of the media. Jon is trying to talk to his former true love.
It got really ugly between the pair in this past week, with Jon implying that Hailey broke in to his apartment and Hailey’s lawyer telling the media Jon staged the whole break-in. Then on Wednesday morning, we got word that Hailey Glassman had filed a complaint with police alleging Jon Gosselin pushed her on Dec. 20.
There’s a Blue Moon on New Year’s Eve tonight! The moon isn’t really blue, it’s just a term for the second full moon in a month!
Controversial talk show host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to the hospital because of chest pains.
Hawaii Television station KITV reported that the conservative radio host was rushed to a hospital with chest pains. The local TV station said Limbaugh was in serious condition at Honolulu’s Queen’s Medical Center after being treated at a hotel by paramedics. Limbaugh was vacationing in Hawaii.
Rush Limbaugh is the most listened to talk radio host in the country with an estimated 14 million weekly listeners.

For the first time in almost 20 years, a “blue moon” will shine on New Year’s Eve parties all over the world, according to National Geographic.
Party goers will ring in the New Year and see the second full moon of the month, which is also known as a blue moon. The last time a blue moon appeared on New Year’s Eve was in 1990, and it won’t happen again until 2028!

Erik Gates, a regular on the popular TV series MythBusters, has died from a freak accident while he was at work. Erik Gates was only 47.
Gates died following a thirty-foot fall at a work site, apparently he fell through a skylight. In a very sad twist of fate, Gates’ brother is the CEO of the company where his brother was killed. Erik Gates appeared on several episodes of MythBusters, the Discovery Channel hit show as a “Amateur Rocket Expert.”
Erik Gates leaves behind a wife and three children. How very sad.
