A “plastic surgeon” in New Jersey performed butt-enhancement procedures that sent six of his patients to the hospital. The New Jersey Department of Health said the procedures took place in a hotel — not in a hospital or sterile setting — and that the women were injected with a mixture of “silicone, petroleum jelly and hardware-grade caulk.” Yes, caulk!
Instead of getting plump and shapely behinds, the women got lumps and craters on their derrieres and a trip to the hospital for potentially life-threatening infections.
Gregory Borah, president of the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons, told The Star-Ledger that the botched procedures reinforce the need for patients to find licensed professionals in a sterile setting.
