Joel Madden To DeeJay At Oscars

The Oscars are apparently trying to reinvent their image this year — with the addition of several young actors including Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner to the presenters list — and now, adding Joel Madden to the roster to deejay the annual awards ceremony. Hoping for a club-party atmosphere, producer Adam Shankman said that he “wanted to make sure everyone in the room was having a great time. [Joel] is one of the best, and knows most everyone there.”

Madden made the announcement on Twitter:

“Guess who is Dj’in the Oscars. Me. Yes i will put on a bow tie of some sort.”

The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be televised live on Sunday, March 7 on ABC.
