Carrie Underwood will sing the National Anthem at the Superbowl! The country superstar will belt it out for Super Bowl XLIV. Carrie joins a pretty impressive list of performers who have sung The Star Spangled Banner at the Superbowl including Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Harry Connick, Jr., Garth Brooks, Natalie Cole, Vanessa Williams, Luther Vandross, Cher, Faith Hill, Mariah Carey, Dixie Chicks and Beyoncé Knowles!

Snooki wants her own show? One of the stars of the infamous Jersey Shore TV series, Nicole Polizzi wants her own show, a spinoff of the surprise hit from MTV. The cast of Jersey Shore is in the middle of negotiations for a second season.

J.D. Salinger, author of Catcher in the Rye died today at age 91.
