Twilight: Buzz on New Twilight Novella, Do You Want to Read More ‘Midnight Sun’?

Stephenie Meyer’s new Twilight addition, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner is out June 5th but which Twilight Saga character do YOU think should get a spin off?

After we reported on The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, I tweeted some other Twilight Saga fans what they’d like to see for the next Twilight installment.

@herbadmother tweeted that a short novella on “The Adventures Of Edward In Alaska” would be nice.

@thestilettomom said that “Bree was interesting but Edward would be way cooler”.

As for me, I am totally loving the “Edward adventures” idea and I am dying to get an update of Midnight Sun. As you might know, Stephenie Meyer was working on Midnight Sun, the fifth book in the Twilight series, but it was leaked online. Meyer stopped work on Midnight Sun after the leak.

The new movie Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief is a solid movie that entertains but it doesn’t capture the imagination like the Harry Potter films. Like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson is a teen who is destined for greatness. Percy is the son of a Greek god (but doesn’t know it).

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief centers around the theft of Zeus’ prized lightning bolt, and all signs point to Percy. Jackson starts out at the beginning of a movie as a regular teen boy but then he finds out he’s really demigod who lives like a human. The action in this film grows as Percy and this friends go on a quest to save his mother (Catherine Keener). The God of the Underworld, Hades believes Percy stole Zeus’ lightning bolt and will trade Percy his mom for the lightning bolt. Like Harry Potter, it’s up to a few teens to save the world.

This movie has all the right stuff and it’s entertaining! But Percy Jackson movie is no Harry Potter. But how many movies are? This is a fun family flick and it’s worth seeing.

Daily Buzz: Kate Gosselin’s New Book, ‘Undercover Boss’ Big Hit, Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller Living Together?

Kate Gosselin has a new book coming out! The mom of eight already has two New York Times bestsellers under her belt, so her third book will probably be hit.

Gosselin’s new book, I Just Want You to Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith and Family will be released on April 13. It’s a personal book featuring prayers, excerpts from her journal and eight individual letters addressed to each one of her children.

CBS’s new series Undercover Boss had a huge audience on Sunday after the Super Bowl. The new reality show, in which corporate executives disguise themselves to work alongside employees at their companies, earned 38.6 million viewers, making it the largest audience ever for a post-Super Bowl series debut.

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are going to reconcile and they are going to live together in their LA home. Brooke’s attorney told E! News:

“Brooke’s desire was to get the order modified so they could have contact and communicate because of their children,” the attorney said. “Judge Boyd was gracious enough to grant that and now Charlie and Brooke are on their way back to L.A. to continue their lives.”

Dear John: Movie for the Chick Flick Hall of Fame!

Dear John is a movie for the chick flick hall of fame! Dear John made headlines this weekend for knocking Avatar out of first place at the box office but I’m not surprised. I saw a screening of the film with my tween daughter and both of us loved it. If you are a fan of love stories, Dear John will become a staple in your chick flick movie collection.

First of all, Channing Tatum is dreamy, in case you hadn’t noticed. Amanda Seyfried is darling and her character is good to the core. The movie is based on a Nicholas Sparks book, so you know it will be a tear jerker. I don’t want to give away too much but here’s the basic story of Dear John:

Special Forces Army Sergeant John Tyree (Channing Tatum) is home on a two-week leave from Germany. He meets Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried) and they fall in love. Savannah is a college student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, on spring break. The love birds have a long distance relationship but then 9/11 happens and their relationship is put to the test.

Bring plenty of Kleenex for Dear John. It’s a romantic film for a wide ranges of chick flick lovers, from your middle-school daughter to your grandmother. My girls and I loved it. We cried like babies but we both enjoyed this film!

Buzz Update: ‘Dear John’ Beats ‘Avatar’, Taylor Lautner Stretches His Wings, Lady Gaga Biography

Nicholas Sparks‘ “Dear John” finally dethroned box office champ “Avatar” this weekend. After seven weeks at the top of the sales sheet, “Avatar” succumbed to the Amanda Seyfried-Channing Tatum love story that has received mixed reviews.

Teen heartthrob Taylor Lautner is moving beyond “Twilight” fame and heading into superhero territory. The 17-year old actor has been cast for the lead in Universal Pictures’ “Stretch Armstrong.” Based on a popular Hasbro toy, the 3D film will star a rubbery hero. Gumby meets Superman?

Lady Gaga — aka Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta — has a new biography hitting bookstores in March and inside, she reveals a could-be dangerous drug addiction that could have stopped her mega-career in it’s tracks. In Lady Gaga: Behind the Fame, the pop star reveals that she wanted to be the artists I loved, like Mick Jagger and Andy Warhol. And [I] thought the only way to do it was to live the lifestyle.” After using loads of cocaine, LSD and other drugs, she says it was the vision of her dead aunt that set her straight.

‘Twilight’ Author Stephenie Meyer Hints She May Return to the Series

Twilight Saga author Stephenie Meyer gave the strongest hint yet that she may return to the best-selling series! Meyer hinted to Entertainment Weekly that the vampire romance series isn’t dead and buried, and that there may be more in the pipeline.

Stephenie Meyer abandoned the series after a rough draft of Midnight Sun, a companion novel to the Twilight Saga was leaked online. Midnight Sun was a retelling of the Twilight novel but from the perspective of Edward Cullen rather than Bella Swan. After the leak Meyer chose to focus on non-Twilight related work but it appears Meyer hasn’t turned her back on the series after all. Stephenie told Entertainment Weekly:

I’m not working on anything new Twilight-related now, and probably not for a while. But there’s still a possibility that I’ll go back and close some of the open doors.

There is new graphic novel adaptation of Twilight coming soon. Yen Press are set to publish a manga style version of the series, with Volume one being given a first print of 350,000. The original novel has been translated by Young Kim with input from Meyer.
