[pinkGLOSS] Exercise Regularly To Prevent Breast Cancer
A new study by the World Cancer Research Fund and the American Institute for Cancer Research found that exercising more, eating healthier and keeping weight in check could prevent as many as 38 percent of breast cancer cases in the United States.
We all know that exercise is important to our overall health, but how much exercise do you need to get and what are the best exercises to protect yourself from breast cancer? Recent studies suggest that women who are moderately fit — in other words they walked briskly for 20 minutes a day or jogged for 1 hour and 15 minutes minutes each week, had a one-third lower risk of developing breast cancer.
Women considered “highly fit” — in other words exercised 2x as much as the moderately fit group — experienced a whopping 55 percent reduction in breast cancer risk.
