[2009 CMA Awards] Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley Having Fun, First Hour of CMAs Rock!

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley cohost the CMA Awards tonight and the country superstars lost no time giving Kanye West a zing with a duet to the tune of Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys:

The rest of the song had something in it about how country boys have the manners not to interrupt…you get the idea.

CMA award cohosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood look like they are having fun, bantering with each other.  In a recent interview, the co-hosts zinged each other, with Paisley going first:

I am thrilled to get the chance to co-host the CMAs for a second time with my pal, Carrie. This year we’ll pull out all the stops, like a miniature poodle balancing act, tightrope walking, and a new world record for the number of costume changes by my co-host. Don’t miss it!

Carrie didn’t miss a beat and shot right back:

I regret to inform Brad that I do not have a poodle, and I would appreciate it if he asks me permission before he tries on all my dresses this year.

Some highlights from the first hour of the CMAs: Taylor Swift kicked off the first song of the night—is there anything Taylor can’t do? Kid Rock gave out the award for Single of the Year and Miranda Lambert gave an amazing performance!
