Kate Gosselin Gives Up Wedding Ring, Kids Support Her!

Kate Gosselin says she’s planning on wearing a new ring that has no association with Jon—and her kids think it’s a good idea! The mom of eight was on Today this morning, and says she is buying a new ring with “eight little diamonds and a mother of pearl.”

Kate has been wearing her wedding ring even though the couple split but now she’s decided it’s time for a change. On this morning’s Today show, Gosselin said:

I’m changing them out. I’m switching them out.

You go girl!

First of all, he’s going be required to put the money back, and second she didn’t say she was buying the ring NOW.

Kate didn’t say she was broke. If you saw the Today Show interview, she said that Jon drained all of their “ready” assets.

Typically wealthy individuals keep some money in checking accounts for immediate bills, and then invest other money in CDs, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, etc. The money that is put in longer term investments may have a penalty for early withdrawal, and usually takes time (up to a month) to liquidate. So if you have bills due tomorrow, and your ready cash has been drained it leaves you in a temporary hole.

Further, regardless of what happens to this money, no doubt Kate wants to be assured that money taken from other assets won’t be raided by Jon again. Finally, while $230K may seem like a lot of money to hold in cash just to pay bills, these folks have a 10 year, $720K mortgage on their $1.1 million house. Just the PRINCIPAL on that is $72K per year, and with 6 percent interest the payment would be $9K per month. The house is also on 24 acres and is 6,000 square feet, so I’m sure the utility and water bills on that sucker aren’t cheap.

I’m sure that each of them has an agenda, but so far Kate seems the much more credible of the two. She’s the one who’s looking after the kids, and you don’t see her whoring around. So if I have to believe one of them, I believe her.

The ring will be nice for her! Kate is doing a fine job. She is the backbone of the family, anyone can see that. Jon well he needs to cough up what he took. What in the hell is up with him? It is like he has become or thinks he has become the most desirable man on earth….to funny. KATE ON THE OTHER HAND IS HOT!!!!!!!
