Kate Gosselin Tells ‘Today’ About Jon Taking $230,000, Kids Crying at Not Doing Show!

Kate Gosselin told Meredith Viera on the Today show this morning that Jon removed $230,000 from the family’s bank account, leaving her with only $1,000. The mom of eight was emotional as she told Viera:
I have a stack of bills in my purse I can’t drop in the mail. The last thing I wanted was to do this show and end up not being able to pay our bills.
Every morning, I don’t know what I’m going to wake up to…[Jon] has gone way far off the trail.
Kate says she feared Jon might do something like this, and she took $100,000 from the account earlier in the divorce process, because Jon was on a spending spree. She put the money back into the checking account but Kate says she only did it because she was afraid her husband would spend everything:
I had taken $100,000 and put it aside safely so I could buy my kids food if this occurred. I was afraid. He was literally buying erratic purchases, randomly purchasing things. The last thing I wanted was to do this show and end up not being able to pay my bills.
According to Kate, the couple split the money in the checking account 50/50. Kate used her half to pay bills and Jon “did whatever with it.”
The father-of-the-year Jon Gosselin, who stopped production last week of the TLC reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8, which also stopped the family’s only source of income! According to Kate her children were “wailing and sobbing” not to be seeing the crew since last week’s filming halt.
Can Jon sink any lower?
