Mackenzie Phillips: I Slept with My Father, Family Secret is Incest!

Mackenzie Phillips told People she slept with her father, John Phillips! Mackenzie was supposed to spill her family secret on Wednesday’s episode of Oprah but People magazine revealed details.

The family secret that the former childhood actress spills in her new book is that her dad, musician John Phillips engaged with her in a long-term incestuous relationship. According to People:

Phillips, 49, who has survived drug addiction, arrests and divorce, writes in the book High on Arrival that she was already a star playing a boy-crazy teen on the TV sitcom One Day at a Time when her father had sex with her on the night before she was to marry Jeff Sessler, a member of the Rolling Stones entourage, in 1979.

That is so awful, so sad.

I just cant believe this! These “stars” do spin some good ones to jump-start their ailing careers. They always seems to want to blame someone else. So, tell me this, in all the drug rehab places, none of the psychiatric docs could figure out this deep dark secret? And wait a minute,,,John Phillips had enough groupies, why would he go after his daughter? ewwww. Just another misfit chick…not taking blame for her actions. Remember Patty Hearst???

Mike: that was an ignorant thing to say. What the hell do you know. Incest happens all the time in this fucked up world. People don’t just go around making this shit up. It takes a great deal of courage to come out with a secret like that one. I’m glad she did it. I hope it helps her heal.

Doesn’t it make you wonder why she’s saying this publicly, in a “tell-all” book? I wonder how many people would even notice Ms. Phillips wrote a book if she didn’t say something so bizarre. Maybe two, including the author and her husband. Three if her mother is still around.

She hasn’t done anything notable (except get arrested) since she got fired in 1980.

Her father is an easy target. He was a drug addict and he’s dead now.

She’s still doing cocaine. In fact, she was arrested for possession less than a year ago. You can see it. She looks 70. Anyone that’s still doing cocaine at the age of 49 is an idiot. I think she’s desperate for attention.

Desperate people say and do desperate things.

This book is her only hope to garner a moment in the spotlight again.

Now ask yourself – do you actually believe this story?

Personally, I don’t find the source to be at all credible.
