Will David Letterman’s personal confession about sexual relations with female staffers hurt his career?

There has been much debate the day after the CBS Late Show host revealed to his audience that he had sexual relationships with female employees and he was the victim of an extortion attempt to keep this information quiet.  The late night king talked about his personal news with humor, honesty and self-effacement.
