Daily Buzz: Katie Defends Suri’s High Heels, Salahis Deny Crashing White House Party, Adam Lambert Wants A Part of ‘Eclipse’

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise came under fire after their three-year-old daughter, Suri, was spotted wearing kitten-heeled shoes. Experts and parenting magazines were concerned that the shoes were unsafe and could cause growth issues, but mama says Suri just wants to be like her.

“[Suri], like every little girl – she loves my high heels,” the actress told Access Hollywood. “They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids,” Katie said. “I found them for her and she loves them.”

Tareq and Michaele Salahi — the couple now known as the White House party crashers — appeared on the Today Show this morning and denied that they “crashed” President Obama’s first state dinner.

“We’re greatly saddened by all the circumstances that have, you know, been involved and portraying my wife and I as party crashers. I can tell you, we did not party crash the White House.”

Salahi said he and his wife “are cooperating extensively with the U.S. Secret Service” in their investigation of the incident and said “the truth will soon come out.”

However, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs told CNN’s “American Morning” today that the Salahis were not on an invitation list of guests.

“If your name is not on an invitation list and you show up, in my book, that’s called crashing,” he said on CNN’s “American Morning.”

Adam Lambert is making a bid to be a part of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” He’s hoping his song, “Suburban Decay,” which didn’t make the cut for his album For Your Entertainment will make it to the movie’s soundtrack.

“It’s a great song and I hope to perform it someday, and I think it will find a home, on a soundtrack or something … maybe ‘Twilight,’ ” he told MTV News. “It just didn’t quite fit [in my album]. It’s very theatrical. … It’s very campy, and it was just a bit too campy for the album as a big picture.”
