Daily Buzz: ‘Precious’ Sweeps Spirit Awards, Sean Penn’s Message To Critics, Conan Stand-Up Tour?

The Independent Spirit Awards kicked off Awards weekend last night with “Precious” topping most of the categories and the event that celebrates indie film. The gritty film won five awards including five statues including “Best Feature of the Year,” “Best Director,” “Best Lead Female,” and “Best Supporting Actress.”

Sean Penn had some choice words for critics of his and other celebrities efforts to bring attention to the devastation in Haiti. Though Conan O’Brien still hasn’t announced if he’ll be returning to television, it looks like he will be hitting the road for a stage tour of some sort set to launch in Phoenix, AZ in April. Conan hasn’t confirmed the act, but  Ticketmaster is selling tickets for an April 30th show headlined by Coco.
