Black Friday Deals 2009: Christmas Deals are Early This Year!

Sears shocked other retailers last week by starting Black Friday deals before Halloween! Sears will kick off weekly specials Friday evening and open stores at least two hours early every Saturday through Thanksgiving.  The troubled retailer is hopes to lure in holiday shoppers with deals before Black Friday.

The traditional retail holiday season begins on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.  The kick-off of the holiday shopping season is called Black Friday because it’s the day shoppers help retail stores break into black for the full year .

Sears’ decision to start the holiday sales a full month before of the traditional Nov. 27 shopping spree shows just how desperate they are for sales.  Are you going to shop earlier this year?
