Kanye West Ruins Taylor Swift Victory! Why Did He Do That?

kanyewest taylorswift Kanye West Ruins Taylor Swift Victory! Why Did He Do That?Kanye West ruins Taylor Swift victory at MTV Video Music Awards!

As Taylor Swift accepted her first-ever MTV Video Music Award, a rude Kanye West grabbed the mic away from her to tell everyone how much he loved another nominee’s entry for best female video–-Beyonce:

Taylor, I’m really happy for you. I’ll let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!

I think West’s behavior is one of the rudest things I’ve seen on an awards show in a long time. The audience booed Kayne as the show cut to a video clip, while poor Taylor Swift tried to continue.

I think that Kayne West wins the award for the award presenter with no class.  What do you think?  You can watch the video clip of Kayne stealing the moment from Taylor on PopCrunch.

I love that Beyonce called Taylor up to finish her acceptance speech during Beyonce’s time. She’s a class act — and Taylor got her glory.

    Kanye is a child.

  • Jennifer

I have never liked him due to his constant arrogant attitude. Now i have more reason not to ever go out of my way to listen to him. I hope his record sales suffer.

Not only will West’s career take a deserved nose dive after his latest of a string of idiotic acts, so will the career of Lady Gaga if she goes through with plans to tour with him in a few weeks. He has become truly toxic and all other acts will be well advised to distance themselves from him.

  • Sally

Kanye showed disrespect to all women everywhere. A man bullying a woman like this on stage is racist and sad in this day in age. How dare he bully a woman like this. Kanye should be ashamed of himself. If we don’t tolerate this from Chris Brown, why should we tolerate women abuse from Kanye?

  • D Royal

He’s an idiot! I’m surprised his ego can fit in ANY room. It’s time we showed him exactly how irrelevant he is.

    • EC

What’s the point of being one if you can’t act like one!

  • Tina Adamson

What made him think he could do that? He certainly is not that great of a performer himself, however he does real well at being an ass. I think we all agree he took the asshole award last night, and forever as far as Im concerned. I truley hope this hurts his future.

  • Roger the Dodger

People who would buy the stuff Kanye tries to pass off as music are probably glad he did what he did. And if you believe this was not somehow staged or planned, I’ve got a bridge I’d like to sell you. If there was one person likely to do this in the entire auditorium, it was Kanye. He’s pulled a stunt like this before. I suspect he’ll use the excuse that he was drunk…flaunting a bottle of booze like it was a piece of jewelry. What a scumbag.

  • Jackie Jackson

This guy is like a little street punk who got lucky. Isn’t he the pee-pee pedophile? We forgive and forget too quickly with the low lifes in this country. Throw him in jail with the rest of them before he peds again. Taylors reaction was great, too. Just step back and let the idiot show himself for what he really is.

  • J.A. Milan

That was definitely the rudest thing I’ve every seen. What a low-life. I hope he never makes another dime in the entertainment business.

Well Joe Wilson is not Black and he is just as rude and disrespectful – (Even more so)Is he a thug or the scum of the planet? Or do you admire him for speaking up at the wrong time and disrespecting the most powerful position in this country.

    • FEE THA DIVA

JAMIE, I FELT THIS SAME WAY FOR THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF, I FEEL THAT THE WAY JOE WILSON RECEIVES REPRIMAND, KANYE DESERVES THE SAME CONSEQUENCES

  • Steven

    Nice.
This happened to Taylor Swift not Barack Obama.
But the comparison of a 19 year old country singer to the current president of the United States is telling.
    Idiots.
    Sorry Taylor.
    What do you expect?
It’s not like Kanye is new to this kind of behavior.

  • FEE THA DIVA

I CANNOT STAND THIS SHORT, IRROGANT, CHIPMUNK CHEEK BASTARD…THIS HAS GONE TOO FAR…POOR TAYLOR…..SILLY S.O.B.

  • BAM

KANYE IS A RACIST – PERIOD! It’s always OK for whites to be SLAMMED in this country – here it is people – like it or not!

  • dawn

Kanye West is a rude, dispicable arrogant human being who presents a very negative perception for today’s youth (walking in with a liquor bottle!!! Come ON!!!). He should never be invited back to any awards show nor should his music ever be eligible for any awards. His “apology” was insincere and worthless. If he gets this upset by these award shows he SHOULD NOT GO!!!!!!!

  • Scooter

You either know about manners, or you don’t…..thank goodness Beyonce knows about being classy. Money does not translate into class….in his case, it sure didn’t. He not only was rude, but dismissed this young woman in an innapropriate way. TACKY…..

  • dani

I don’t think sexual preference or the color of one’s skin has anything to do with Kayne West’s actions. He’s an egotist, rude and clearly thinks of no one other than himself as his previous outbursts have proven. Yes you have a right to speak your mind in this country, which I am all for, however there is a time and a place to do so. He clearly must relish taking the limelight from others deserving of it.

  • Mike

Kanye West is the LEAST tallented person working in the entertainment industry today. The fact that anyone buys this low life’s “music” is telling of the state of this country. He is utterly incapable of producing anything original. He simply samples REAL artists’ music and raps over it. He is a no talent, obnoxious bore who has an ego the size of Alaska!!!! The fact the no one has smacked this smug self-important prick in the mouth is nothing short of a miracle. First he whines when HE doesn’t win … now he’s whining when other people don’t win???? I guess he feels that HE should decide the winners of all music awards. What a prick!

  • Jimmy B.

Well, it sure does go to show that Taylor Swift, although young, has Class…As Does Beyonce Knowles. These fresh, talentless wannabees don’t deserve a place on any stage.

  • TB

Who told that fool that music belongs to him?
Music is perhaps the only medium today which transcends color, creed, socioeconomic status, age etc. I had never listened to any of Taylor Swift’s songs before last night, but when she got the award, there was no question in my mind that she didn’t deserve it, as it had already been determined that she did. Her excitement about having won the award, despite being a country singer speaks to the unifying power and purpose of music and the progress some artists are making in transcending boundaries.

Kanye’s West behavior was inexcusable, and he should have been checked right there and then, and made to apologize right there and then. I did listen to Kanye West before last night, but not anymore. Clearly, he is confused about his craft and his role as an artist- Music doesn’t belong to you Kanye West, it belongs to all of us. He is an embarrassment to himself.

I wish I would have recorded the View today. I almost guarantee that Whoopie and Sherri found a way to excuse him doing this.

Ether Mr. West was under such intense emotional distress over the situation that he could not restrain himself from exploding onto the stage or… Well, no. No excuse. He is at a level of ego centrism and megalomania that Taylor Swift’s life, her career and the only memory she will ever have of her first MTV Video Music award, meant nothing. This was a travesty. I hope to see this negative action reciprocated by the buying public. Without sales he is as small as he made Taylor feel.

He was jus 2 rude she should have hit him in da head with ha award. He is so rude and immature.

I have a fleeting suspicion that Kanye was emmulating the way Obama was heckled during his speech to Congress… I am not saying what Kanye did was right… but I have feeling it might come out that way…

  • Tina Adamson

I thought that what he did was very rude and just straight up mean. I am a DJ in a very happening club, needless to say his music will not be played there anymore.

I am shocked and appalled that someone didn’t throw a hook around him and jerk him off stage. What the hell was he doing up there anyway? He has proven himself to be an asshole of the highest proportions and a downright narcissistic idiot. Why do people even buy the piles of s*#t that he puts out under the guise of music and entertainment. I wish I had a way to e-mail him myself because there would be no end to what I would lay out before that no talent wonder!!

  • Jim

I believe West disrupted her speech because he wanted to show America how Obama felt when he was disrepected during his speech….
