janedoe [buzzGLOSS] Teen Girl Found In New York: No Memory of Home, Family, Own NameA teen girl, estimated to be between 14 and 17 years old, was found in New York about two weeks ago and she has no recollection of her name, her family or where she lives.

The young girl was found wandering the streets of Manhattan on October 9th, and police and social workers have yet to make any progress regarding her identity or finding her family.

“This case has been going on since October 9,” Lieutenant Christopher Zimmerman told CNN. “Today is the 23rd, and we’re vey concerned. It’s been a very long time now. That’s a long time frame to not identify somebody. Especially someone who we believe is a juvenile. Usually juveniles we get a lot of inquiries about.”

New York City police are asking anyone with information about the woman or her family to contact the NYPD Missing Persons Squad at 212-694-7781 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
