Robert Pattinson’s ‘Remember Me’: Love Story with a Gut Wrenching Twist

email

RM 011 DF 02507R Robert Pattinsons Remember Me: Love Story with a Gut Wrenching TwistI was blown away by Robert Pattinson’s new movie Remember Me. The film is a romantic drama with gut wrenching twist at the end.  Do you remember the twist at the end of The Sixth Sense?

The surprise ending of Remember Me will knock you out of your seat because it will completely change your perception of this movie.

First of all, Remember Me is Robert Pattinson’s breakout role.  This film shows that Pattinson is so much more than teen vampire Edward Cullen.  Rob plays Tyler, a rebellious young man in New York City who has a strained relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan) ever since tragedy separated their family.  It doesn’t matter if you are a Twilight fan (like me) or you’ve never seen a frame of the Twilight Saga series—if you watch Remember Me, you’ll see the talent of Robert Pattinson. He’ll be around the movie industry for a very long time. The boy has some acting chops, y’all.

The second reason I loved this film is because even though it’s a romantic drama, it’s about FAMILY. The story of Tyler’s family and his girlfriend Ally’s famly is central to the story.  Ally is Emilie de Ravin with a sweetness that is sickening but it’s very real.  At the end of the day, Remember Me is a story about the healing power of love, the strength of family, and the importance of every single moment you get with those you love. Because it could be gone in an instant.

I loved Remember Me for many reasons that I can’t tell you because it will spoil the movie for you.  But please GO AND SEE THIS MOVIE with someone you love.  Your spouse. Your brother. Your mother.  Do not wait to see this movie.  See it now—-and I promise, you won’t be sorry.  It’s so much more than a love story between Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin.

Just came from theater to see Remember Me…and I have to say,I agree! The story has substance and a plot! Loved it! Loved Robert! He really is talented and I hope to see more of him in the future! So if you love Robert, you have to go and see this movie.Oh..and bring the tissues.

  • beng

Robert is fantastic in this movie. You will forget that he’s the actor who played Edward. Emillie & Robert’s chemistry rocks!

  • ap

I totally agreed. I was blown away by the film. Loved the cast. Rob was a revelation. I so prefer him without that vampire make-up. I cried all the way home. I hope people ignore those jaded hateful critics and go see the film for themselves. It’s so obvious they’re trying to tear him down. Critics are USELESS.

  • Jessica

A very good movie you completely get a message through the movie if you really think about it the ending was a total shocker but over all movie was great

  • Michelle Lamar

So glad to hear that there were others who loved the movie as much as I did! I thought it was great.

  • Maggie

This movie was great. The twist was painful, extremely painful. My favorite moments were the interactions between Robert’s character and his sister. So sweet. Awesome movie.

    • Michelle Lamar

      Mine too Maggie! Loved it!

A must see movie!! FABULOUS!!! Ignore the critics that are giving bad reviews. They did this with Brad Pitt and Johnny D. when they were starting out. Iam not a twilight fan and did not go to REMEMBER ME because Robert Pattinson was in it.I was shocked at how talented he is. So go ahead critics and do your thing because this young man is Acadmy Award material. I loved the story and the message. The whole cast was incredible.

Go see it I promise you won’t be disappointed

I totally agree wiith you, Robert is here for a long time. He is an excellent actor. He can play so many different roles and to be young and have the fan bases he has. Yes. He is here to stay. Will surely be going back to see it again this weekend. Great movie. The end is definitely something you don’t want to miss or walk out early for.

  • Val

I agree completely! It was a great movie. Robert and cast were very, very good in this movie. I will go see it again and buy the DVD when it comes out. The critics who bashed it didn’t see the same movie I did. I think the critics don’t want to see Robert succeed for some reason. I think he is here to stay and hopefully he will hear that his fans loved this movie and hopefully it will do very well in the box office. 5 out of 5 stars from me!

Word. Robert Pattinson rocked this one.

Prior to seeing this movie I couldn’t believe how the ravaged it. Still I went to see the movie with my son, expecting the worse, and came away loving the movie. If anyone has lost a child or sibling you know what it can do to you and to the family dynamics. I think it was a very honest film. My only disappointment was that the character of Tyler died at the end, though with a title “Remember Me” I knew someone was going to. For the record I am 53 years old, not your typical Robert Pattinson fan. I loved the movie not just for him but for all of the actors who I feel did a great job.

I wish I could have said it as well as you. I loved the movie. It moved me. It is all about family and trying to come to grips with tragedy. Not big and splashy and preachy. Just a quiet little film about everyday people. No villains. No one to hate. And like the previous poster I am a woman of certain age. But I do know talent when I see it. And Mr. Pattinson has tons of it

Remember Me opened at my local theater this morning and I was there for show one. Mind you I knew nothing about the film other than what I have seen in the trailers. Anyone (and I am a grandmother so no screaming tweens here) that believes Mr. Pattinson will not survive post Twilight obviously has not seen him in anything else. This young man was brilliant. I felt every ache in his heart. He and Ms. diRavin were excellent together, so believable. The entire cast was perfect. I (not wishing to give anything away to those who have yet to see this film) did not expect the ending and I must say I am still overwhelmed with emotion. Wonderful film, excellent acting all around. I loved it!

NO WAY….were the words from my mouth the minute Tylor was looking out the window! I was shocked at the end of this movie, which made it all the better. Sure this movie is filled with drama from both Tylor’s family and Ally’s family, but it’s all that inbetween stuff that makes this movie! Though I like all of the actors that were cast I did go see it because of Rob. He should be very proud, I think he has come along way from Dali and even Edward. He’s held his own and delivered a believable character. The chemistry between Tylor and Ally is simple, not over the top like some, which I felt made it more believable. I felt the story told alot in such a short time.
It was wicked cool and I hope loads of people go to see it.
    KUDOS to everyone involved!

    • Michelle Lamar

I think this movie got too many harsh reviews that it did not deserve. Glad you feel the same way:)

  • Brenda

This movie was even better than I thought it would be! Robert was amazing! I thought the whole cast and story was fabulous! We cried all the way home -everyone in the theater gasped at the end – By the way – I am not a teeny bopper

Thank you for your voice of sanity! So many critics have crawled all over this movie with their fake PC Indignation! It is a bittersweet love story of family’s hope and reconciliation. I think other critics are blasting this movie out of some sense of “It is not fair that this actor gets so much press and adulation so let’s knock him down to our level”!!!!!

  • Michelle Lamar

I agree! I thought this movie was great and if it’s getting bad reviews, it’s because they missed the message of the movie.

  • billie

Bravo! I couldn’t have said it better myself. I am 60+ and saw the movie today with my 40yr old daughter. We were tatally blown away. RPatz was brilliant! I read a lot of reviews yesterday, but decided I would give it a go since I rarely agree with the critics anyway.
I was not a “Twilight” person prior to seeing this movie, but do plan to read the series and see the movies. I’m truely surprised at the negative reviews.

it was absolutely amazing. so unexpected. my husband went with me and was totally dreading it, but he loved it as much as i did. i cant get over how great it was. i keep thinking about it.

  • soopy86

The movie was so beautiful and then the ending was so hideously disturbing I ran from the theater crying…I am really angry at the ending. It hit way to close to home. It did not need to twist in that way.
