Jon Gosselin: Kate Abused Me!

I also once thought that Kate was somewhat unkind to Jon at times. Now, I think she had to be. He has demonstrated many times recently that he is very childish, selfish and immature. She was not only trying to get through the toddler years with six little ones, but she was having to give instructions to her husband as well. I can see why she would need to be very disciplined and stick rigidly to things like schedules. It was tough having one child at a time. As I see it, she would never have been able to parent 8 children if she didn’t do things the way she has. I am totally on Kate’s side. I may not agree with everything she says or does, but I think she has had to be tough and I would suspect that many mothers of multiples has to be a little more rigid and disciplined. I can’t even imagine what it must have been like for her to try to keep her eyes and ears on that many little ones. Just trying to keep them from getting hurt or lost must have been exhausting. I can see why she would get upset when Jon would take off on her in a store or on an outing. She was really taking care of 9, not 8!!!!!

This is very wierd! Jon is not acting as an abused spouse. If you watched the recent reaired episodes, Jon is verbally abusive of Kate and also the children! Kate actually told Jon to shut up because he was verbally abusive to one of the children….putting the child down and verbally berating a child. It’s one thing, although never right, between adults, but to do this to your own children, Jon? Jon is a spoiled adult child who needs to grow up and go home to his family. It’s one thing to be on a book tour and earning for your family, it’s another to be out on the prowl in bars, casinos and hotel rooms.

I believe he means he was abused verbally, put down by her. If you watched the reruns, they acted respectful of each other, then as it progressed, she became more and more loud, tense and kept “roping him in” from whatever he felt was right in parenting the kids. It seemed to be her way only when doing anything that involved the kids. She should learn to discuss problems in child-rearing differences in the privacy of their bedroom – away from the childrens ears – kids hear everything. parents should never correct each other in front of the children – it just dissolves all authority over time. She seemed overwhelmed, even though she was being treated to many “beautifications” that normal families could NEVER afford – and she seemed to get a bit big for her britches. Who wears heels to a ranch to ride horses…she is always “on” and her words seem so rehearsed and practiced….”I’m proud to have them as my boys”….sounds like fodder to be quoted in court….anyway, she was horrid to Jon…he just was adult about it and didn’t fight back and stand up for himself on television. True, we don’t know what happens when the cameras are off – but she is quite a shrew, and sure acts holier than thou all the time now, and that just makes me think she’s not so perfect.

I have watched the show for a long time and could never stand how Kate talked to Jon, but now I cannot stand how immature Jon is being! He is like a 20 year old baby – but he is 32! Why cant he get a job, dress like a man and step up by keeping his mouth shut about his wife? The divorce isnt even final yet and he is sleeping around – all in front of his kids. He needs counseling – and more therapy – to find out how a dad acts.
