Project Runway: Wedding Dress Makeovers for Divorcees

Project Runway featured new models tonight and an interesting challenge for the designers!

The models this week were nine divorcees who were willing to give their wedding dresses major makeovers!  The designers had to turn old wedding dresses into a hip outfit they “can wear in the next chapter of their lives.”

Some of the dresses the PR designers had to work with were SCARY.  For example, Irina Shabayeva worked with a massive, lacy wedding dress while Shirin Askari had a itty bitty dress.

Tim Gunn gave Shirin some of his magic when she freaked about her dress. Tim’s pep talk inspired Shirin to “carry on” and come up with a creative solution–a white dress that rocked! Irina designed a copper wedding dress that was fabulous and looked amazing on her model.

After a rough couple of weeks on Project Runway, Gordana Gehlhausen was the star and the winner of tonight’s challenge!  Gordana’s little strapless mini was the hit of the runway.

Michael Kors was back again (THANK YOU) and he called Christopher’s design “a metallic hefty back cinched at the waist.” BAM!

Heidi Klum said Logan Neitzel’s design was an Oktoberfest costume!  Epperson created a tunic looking thing–and he was sent home.  Nicolas Putvinski was lucky AGAIN! That guy has nine lives, I swear! I thought he should have been gone weeks ago!
