Tiger Woods Car Accident: Actually Domestic Abuse?

The web is buzzing tonight that the car accident today that landed PGA star Tiger Woods in the hospital was actually a domestic abuse issue…not a random car accident.

It was earlier reported that Woods, 33, was in serious condition after his Cadillac SUV crashed into a tree and fire hydrant. Then, his condition was modified and police said that that the golf pro was released from a hospital near his Windermere, Florida home after being treated for facial lacerations.

Gossip site TMZ is now reporting that Woods’ injuries were actually caused by his wife, model Elin Nordegren. Nordegren was apparently upset about rumors of an affair between Woods and socialite Rachel Uchitel. TMZ cites sources that say after an argument during which Nordegren scratched up his face, Woods tried to flee in his car and his wife chased after him with a golf club.

Woods and Nordegren have two children together. Uchitel was previously linked to the also married David Boreanaz.

I don’t believe you just said what you said. If a man came after a woman with a golf club, everyone would be yelling and screaming – what a terrible man he is and how he should be punished. You don’t know if this is the truth but say it is, still if a woman cheated on her husband and he came after her and scratched her face, etc. – everyone would be up in arms. I don’t understand the double standard. Domestic Abuse is Domestic Abuse no matter who does it – IT’S VIOLENCE.

With so many conflicting rumors, it’s hard to tell if Tiger Woods car accident came about as a result of an alleged affair with Rachel Uchitel or if this is all just media hype. I’m glad he’s doing okay, though.

One can only HOPE that he’s NOT been cheating. I would hate to hear about the world’s #1 golfer getting killed(like Steve McNair) before he breaks Nicklaus’ record of 18 majors!
I believe Elin could really take Tiger to the cleaners if he has been cheating(ask Bobby Bonds!)

Then perhaps you should be locked up, too. If a woman cheats on her husband, does he have the right to “come after her,” scratch her face, and attack her with a golf club? Answer the question.
