Sandra Bullock was joking around with Barbara Walters on The Barbara Walters Oscar Special, pretending to talk trash about Meryl Streep. The star of The Blind Side joked that she was going to “beat the s*** out of Meryl Streep”!

Streep is nominated for her portrayal of chef Julia Child in Julie & Julia. Sandra Bullock is nominated for best actress for her portrayal of Leigh Anne Touhy in The Blind Side.

I know I will be glued to the TV to watch “The Barbara Walters Oscar Special” before the Academy Awards, how about you?  The show airs Sunday at 7 p.m. ET. Here’s a clip of The Blind Side, one of my personal faves for the Oscar this year!

barbara walters the view 234x300 Barbara Walters Quitting Her Oscar Special After 29 YearsBarbara Walters is was quitting her Oscars television special after 29 years.  Walter’s Oscar show before the March 7 Academy Awards has become a tradition for audiences for almost three decades and she says that’s enough!

This Sunday’s night, Walters will be back with “The Barbara Walters Special,” featuring Oscar nominees Sandra Bullock and Mo’Nique, as well as a roundup of the 93 interviews she conducted for the program over the years.  The Oscar night interviews began in 1981 but Walters says it has become harder to be original:

It’s not movie stars that are celebrities any more. You are a celebrity overnight, you are a celebrity for doing nothing, you are a celebrity for shopping. People don’t have much to talk about, classic stars like Bette Davis are rare today.

On her show The View Barbara Walters talks about her final Oscar special:
