A fragile Dennis Hopper got his star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame yesterday. The 73-year olf actor, suffering from prostate cancer, was honored by peers and friends including Jack Nicholson, Viggo Mortensen and others.

Miley Cyrus comes to American Idol tonight! Miley Cyrus is going to mentor the 11 remaining Idol contestants on American Idol as she begins to promote her new film.

Miley is starting the promotional rounds for her new movie, The Last Song, which opens March 31. The film is based on the Nicholas Sparks novel and Miley plays a rebellious teen who spends the summer with her estranged father in a small town.

In the midst of personal drama for it’s star Sandra Bullock, The Blind Side DVD hits stores today. I love this movie and if you haven’t seen it, go and get the DVD! Sandra Bullock is amazing.

We’ll see what Izzie’s fate is — Katherine apparently hasn’t been back to the set after she was scheduled to return after maternity leave.

American Idol is down to the top twelve contestants, which was full of upsets last night. Alex Lambert and Lilly Scott – two favorites — were sent home. Lilly Scott left the stage saying, “A lot of incredible talent is going home tonight. I just don’t know what America wants to hear.”

Oscar bosses said with limited time for the look back at film stars, screenwriters and others who contributed to movies, they didn’t have enough time to include the TV star, who should be included in a montage at a show like the Emmys. Ouch.

David Letterman’s former colleague turned extortionist pleaded guilty yesterday. Robert Joel Halderman, a former producer for CBS, admitted that he tried to blackmail the late-night host by threatening to reveal his affairs with women who worked with him.

According to Simon Cowell, Crystal Bowersox could be the season nine American Idol winner! After her performance of Tracy Chapman’s “Give Me One Reason,” Simon told her, “you’re the one to beat.” That’s gotta be tough for the remaining contestants to hear…

Former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has been making the rounds at Hollywood’s pre-Oscar gifting suites this week, but she’s in Los Angeles for more than collecting some fancy loot. She’s shopping a reality TV series with “Survivor” creator Mark Burnett. Palin and Burnett met with at least three of the major networks (NBC, ABC and Fox) to pitch the series described as “‘Planet Earth’ meets Alaska meets [Palin's] family.”

Last month, Kristen Stewart was gushing about co-star and rumored beau Robert Pattinson’s new film, “Remember Me.” This month, R-Pattz is paying it back — waxing poetic about K-Stew’s upcoming film. The Twilight hunk told MTV News that he “I saw a really early cut of ‘The Runaways.’ It was really good. And ‘Welcome to the Rileys’ is amazing.”

Missing actor Andrew Koenig‘s parents were supposed to appear on Larry King Live last night, but they left just minutes before going on air. “For some reason unbeknownst to anyone, Walter Koenig, the father of the missing Andrew Koenig, and [Andrew's mother] Judy Levin-Koenig…left the studio in Vancouver,” King said to viewers.

So who could be the next Idol? Lilly Scott‘s jazzy “Fixing a Hole” drew compliments from the judges and Crystal Bowersox‘s rendition of Alanis Morissette’s “Hand In My Pocket” was a huge success. Michelle Delamor came out strong with Alicia Keys’ “Fallin’”.

lindsay vonn Daily Buzz: Lindsey Vonn Wins Gold, Chris Golightly Disqualified from Idol, Gosselins Back on TLC Despite a bruised shin that almost took her out of the running, American skier Lindsey Vonn took home the gold last night in the women’s downhill competition at the Winter Olympic games. “I gave up everything for this. It means everything to me … It’s awesome,” she said.

American Idol contestant Chris Golightly was disqualified after making the Top 24 last night. Without explanation, FOX issued a statement saying “It has been determined that Chris Golightly is ineligible to continue in the competition. ‘American Idol’ contestant Tim Urban has replaced Golightly as part of the Top 24.”

After settling the lawsuit that took “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ off the air last year, it looks like Kate Gosselin and her brood will back on TLC…minus Jon. A source told MSNBC that while “the whole Gosselin family is under contract,” a show focused on Kate is in the works but that Jon is not part of any programming plans.
