The romantic comedy raked in a $52.4 million opening weekend. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why so many fans flocked to see Valentine’s Day with a cast that includes Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah, Taylor Swift, and Taylor Lautner. How could this movie miss with a cast like that?

Doug Fieger, who sang the 1979 hit My Sharona died Sunday at his home in Woodland Hills, California.

Fieger was the front man for The Knack and the 57-year-old battled cancer for six years.

Kevin Smith was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight because he was too fat but do you think that was the right thing for the airline to do? Talk to the poll.

‘Valentine’s Day’ Perfect Date Movie for Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day is Sunday and the new movie Valentine’s Day is a perfect date movie! The all-star cast of Valentine’s Day makes this movie just like the candy you get from your sweetheart—you know you shouldn’t eat the whole box but you just can’t help it.

I’ve read some less than kind reviews of this movie. But if you give Valentine’s Day a chance, I think you’ll love it. The story of the movie follows a group of people in Los Angeles over the course of one Valentine’s Day. Here are a few reasons you should see Valentine’s Day this weekend:

1. This flick features every star in Hollywood except for the Jonas Brothers, according to MTV.

Directed by veteran filmmaker Garry Marshall, the film stars Jessica Alba, Kathy Bates, Jessica Biel , Bradley Cooper, Eric Dane , Patrick Dempsey, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Queen Latifah Taylor Lautner , George Lopez, Julia Roberts and Taylor Swift.

2. It’s a great escape from the cold weather. It’s been a tough winter and while Valentine’s Day isn’t a movie that will change the world, it’s a great way to escape the winter blues.

3. Everyone can identify with at least one person in this movie. Whether you are in love or you’re single this Valentine’s Day, at least one person in this story has a love life like yours.

4. Ashton Kutcher, Patrick Dempsey, Taylor Lautner, Bradley Cooper, Eric Dane. In one movie. Do you really need more reasons?

The readers of E! Online picked Facinelli as the Top Celebrity Tweeter of 2009, and we think it’s awesome! Peter Facinelli has raised money for a number of charities via Twitter, and I give Peter big snaps for showing the rest of us how to utilize Twitter to help others.

I read Peter Facinelli’s news via Twilight Lexicon, one of my favorite places on the web for Twilight Saga scoop. Per Twilight Lexicon:

It’s pretty amazing when you consider that Ashton Kutcher, who has more Twitter followers than the populations of several nations, came in second. Peter has really taken the possibilities of Twitter to a new level raising money for multiple charitable causes.

Peter Facinelli is married to Jennie Garth, who is really down-to-earth and so nice! I spoke to Jennie Garth in November, right before the New Moon premiere. Peter and Jennie both devote time to helping other people and using their fame for the greater good. Congratulations Peter Facinelli!
