Speedskater Apolo Ohno became the most decorated US Winter Olympian in history after winning a bronze medal in yesterday’s 1,000-meter short track race. With seven career Olympic medals, Ohno beat fellow speedskater Bonnie Blair‘s record of six Winter Games wins.

Actor Andrew Koenig, best known for playing ‘Boner’ on the show “Growing Pains,” has been reported missing in Canada. Last seen a week ago, Koenig was supposed to be on a flight back to the U.S. on Tuesday but never showed up. His parents told TMZ that Koenig had not been doing well lately and suffers from depression.

And, they’re going after the source of the most recent spate of rumors by filing a lawsuit against News of the World, who originally “broke” the story about the uber-couple meeting with lawyers to split their vast fortunes and custody of their six children.

According to BBC News, after attempts at obtaining a voluntary retraction from the tabloid, the couple’s attorney is suing the publication for the “widely republished” allegations that are “false and intrusive”.

The cast of Jersey Shore may get fired from MTV. The cast of the hit series must decide today whether to accept a new contract, or lose their jobs. The group of New Jersey twenty-somethings are asking for $10,000 each per episode.

Gary Coleman has been arrested for domestic assault! The former child star of the popular TV series Diff’rent Strokes was arrested in Utah, according to celebrity website TMZ. Coleman was booked for one misdemeanor count of domestic assault and is currently being held on $1,725 bail in Santaquin, Utah.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not breaking up, according to the queen of celebrity gossip, Perez Hilton. The blogger told CBS Early Show co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez this morning that the rumors about a Brangelina break up were not true.

The interesting thing about how people consume news now is, once somebody reads something on the Internet, they believe it to be true, but that’s not the case. A rep for Brangelina (the nickname given the super-couple by the press) has denied it, and close sources to them have personally denied it to me. In fact, somebody very close to them. And they kind of are bothered by it, but they’re not really gonna go out of their way to set the record straight. They never have.

‘Inglourious Basterds’ Cast Mum on Brad Pitt’s Whereabouts at SAG Awards

Brad Pitt missed Inglourious Basterds winning a SAG award but the cast of the Basterds was mum about why Pitt wasn’t there.

Since the news broke about a possible Brangelina split and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie signing separation papers, it makes sense that Brad Pitt was a no-show for the SAG Awards last night.

At the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Inglourious Basterds took home the award for Best Ensemble Cast in a Feature Film. Fox News reports that there was awkward silence from the cast when a reporter asked why Brad Pitt wasn’t there:

After happily chirping about the fact that director Quentin Tarantino was probably downstairs “getting drunk,” how they watched Brad Pitt the night before in Clooney’s Haiti Telethon and how much they all like each other, the cast suddenly fell silent when Pop Tarts asked why Mr. Pitt wasn’t present at the special ceremony.

“You’ve got Jacky Ido (a fellow cast member) all the way from France,” Eli Roth eventually said to break the awkward silence.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Split Has Been in the Works Since Early December?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been organizing their split since early December. The celebrity couple met with a Los Angeles divorce firm at that time to work out the legal details of their break-up, according to a report from RadarOnline.com.

Rumors of a break-up have been making headlines for months and Angelina was absent from George Clooney’s Hope For Haiti telethon on Friday night. Brad did his part to help the Haitian people, along with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.

Gossip was flying after the couple failed to show at The Golden Globes despite the fact that Inglorious Basterds being nominated for several awards. Pitt went to watch The New Orleans Saints play, while Angie stayed in California.

The News of The World reports that the couple, who have six children together as well as several businesses and homes have signed a $205 million agreement in the split. The News of the World says that the couple have agreed to equally divide their immense fortune and to equally share custody of their children, although they will live full-time with Angelina.

The UK’s News of the World — not exactly a credible source — was the first to report that the power couple met with divorce lawyers and have agreed to divide their fortune and share custody of their six children.

“The document was signed in early January,” a source told the tabloid.

The agreement, signed by both halves of Brangelina, is similar to a pre-nuptial agreement, though the couple were never married.

“It seemed clear they want the world to know they’ll both play a part in the upbringing of the children,” the source said. “But Angelina will actually be the one who lives with them full-time.”

It’s official: Conan is leaving NBC. While the obvious was finally confirmed by NBC early today, Conan is still taking shots at his bosses on his way out. On last night’s show, he really stuck it to them — with a $1.5 million expense. The Tonight Show host debuted a new guest — a $2 million Bugatti sports car with the Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction playing in the background. We’re thinking the $1.5 million figure is coming from licensing fees to play the song on air.

Finally, one-time presidential candidate John Edwards has owned up that he is the father of his former campaign worker’s child. In a statement to NBC News, Edwards said, “I am Quinn’s father. It was wrong for me ever to deny she was my daughter and hopefully one day, when she understands, she will forgive me.” Friends and family are also confirming that Edwards and his wife have separated.
