lindsaylohansuesetrade 274x300 Lindsay Lohan Sues E*Trade for $100 Million. Seriously. Apparently Lindsay Lohan thinks she’s on the same level as Madonna and Oprah, and has sued E*TRADE over a commercial (watch below) depicting a baby named “Lindsay.” Oh, and she’s suing them for $100 million.

Claiming that the commercial “unlawfully encroaches on her brand,” the former Disney star turned tabloid star’s attorney said that LiLo has the same first-name only recognition as Madonna, Oprah and others…so baby “Lindsay” in the commercial is capitalizing on Lohan’s fame.

Why such a huge amount? Well, that’s how much it would cost to use Lindsay’s likeness if a commercial, of course.

“Her name was used for the commercial benefit of E-Trade and she should be compensated fairly for that,” attorney Stephanie Olvadia told E! News. “She’s very upset about it. They did not have permission nor her consent. It’s not something that she would have agreed to.”

Okaaay. So far, no word from the E*Trade camp. They’re probably too busy cracking up and enjoying the press their commercial is getting today.

Lindsay Lohan has come clean about her drug use. But the actress says the antics of her father, Michael Lohan have further fueled her battle with alcohol and drug addiction. Lindsay told The Sun:

When my father was going public, that’s when I hit rock bottom. I abused substances too much and it wasn’t the answer to my problems. People need to know that. I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine and mind-altering substances.

Jay Leno is pulling out all the stops and getting many A-List guests for his return to The Tonight Show. Sarah Palin, Kristen Stewart and a host of celebrities will be guests of Mr. Leno in the next two weeks.

The U.K.version of the Academy Awards, the BAFTAs, gave Kristen Stewart the Orange Rising Star award. Kristen’s acceptance speech has been commented on in the media but I thought she made a low-key but sincere speech. The British media spotted Kristen and her co-star boyfriend Robert Pattinson getting chummy at the Grey Goose after-party, according to the Los Angeles Times. The LA Times Ministry of Gossip made a very good point in today’s column about Kristen and Rob:

They’re usually more comfortable being together in Rob’s native U.K. — like their quality time over New Year’s.
