Daily Buzz: Winter Olympics Tonight, NY Fashion Week Begins, Dennis Hopper Divorce

The Winter Olympics start tonight!  The Winter Olympics 2010 opening ceremony in Vancouver, B.C. will air on NBC at 7:30 p.m. ET.  The American team has designer uniforms! Ralph Lauren designed the opening ceremony uniforms for the American team.

New York Fashion Week has begun but the news of Alexander McQueen’s death cast a pall on Bryant Park this year.  ABC News reports that Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour said she was devastated by the death of “one of the greatest talents of his generation.”  Wintour made a statement to the press about McQueen:

In such a short career, Alexander McQueen’s influence was astonishing — from street style, to music culture and the world’s museums. His passing marks an insurmountable loss.

Dennis Hopper’s divorce is turning ugly! Dennis Hopper filed a restraining order against his wife, Victoria Duffy-Hopper, for custody of their six-year-old daughter, Galen.  The actor is undergoing treatment for advanced prostate cancer is also battling his wife of 14 years in a very ugly divorce battle.
