Betty White Close to Hosting ‘SNL’ in ‘Women of Comedy’ Episode

Betty White could be hosting Saturday Night Live very soon, according to Entertainment Weekly. The 88-year-old actress is having quite a year in 2010! Between her lifetime achievement SAG award and her hilarious Super Bowl spot, Betty White is riding high and it looks like her fans may have gotten White a gig on Saturday Night Live. The movement on Facebook calling for Betty White to host SNL appears to be working.

The Boston Herald reports that SNL is in talks to have the 88-year-old actress co-host the show with a team of women. Word is that Saturday Night Live is putting together a “Women of Comedy” episode that would team up White with other former SNL stars such as stars Molly Shannon, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

The grassroots effort to have Betty White host the late night show has picked up enough steam to get the amazing woman herself to comment on it, (Betty won’t get naked on the show).

Kendra Wilkinson Cries After Superbowl Loss?

Kendra Wilkinson broke down crying after last night’s Superbowl. The reality star was upset the Indianapolis Colts team lost the game, according to US Magazine.

Wilkinson was spotted crying, but she Twittered it wasn’t because of the game, it was because the paparazzi kept bothering her. Kendra tweeted today:

I wasn’t cryin cuz of the damn game it’s cuz the paparazzi have no soul… they wouldn’t leave me n family alone!!!!

Then the former Playboy bunny told PEOPLE today she wasn’t upset over the Indianapolis Colts’ loss to the New Orleans Saints. But I’m not sure I buy it. During the Superbowl game, Kendra’s husband Hank Baskett mishandled an on-side kick, leading to a Saints scoring drive.

The Who: Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend Still Rock!

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend of The Who showed the world they’ve still got what it last night at the Superbowl!

The Who was the featured halftime show, without gimmicks or lip-syncing. Roger Daltrey’s voice still sounds fabulous as the band performed some of their hits in a mini-concert. As a fellow baby boomer, I was happy to see Daltrey and Townsend rock the house last night! The Los Angeles Times said that they played just like they did 30 years ago:

As he swung his trademark windmills on “Baba O’Riley,” he certainly looked the part, playing the role of a man 30 years younger.

Townshend tossed aside his acoustic for an electric, and he hopped and skipped behind his vocalist, who huffed out a harmonica solo to close “Baba O’Riley.” A brief breather arrived for a few snippets of “See Me, Feel Me,” but then it was straight into a pyro-enhanced “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” which Daltrey ended with an exclamation point — a blood-curdling shriek.

Latifah sang “America The Beautiful” with a group of children backing her up.

Then, a white-jumpsuited Carrie Underwood stepped out to belt out the National Anthem and once again proved she’s more than worthy of her American Idol win and countless awards earned thereafter. Underwood’s rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” was accented by fireworks and most notably, moving images of American soldiers in Kabul, Afghanistan.
