Brace for Impact: Story of US Airways 1549, Captain Sullenberger Airs Tonight

On January 15, 2009, the world watched in horror as US Airways Flight 1549 went down in the Hudson River. But the story of Flight 1549 did not end in tragedy, thanks to the amazing skills of pilot Captain Sullenberger.
TLC will air the documentary Brace for Impact about the landing of US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River by Captain Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger, III tonight at 9:00 PM ET/PT.
Harrison Ford narrates Brace for Impact which features interviews with Captain Sullenberger, passengers, air traffic controllers and first responders who assisted the landing. The documentary tells the story of how Captain Sullenberger and his crew saved the lives of the 155 people on board that flight. Sullenberger remains modest about his heroic efforts that day:
I’m honored and gratified by the attention I’ve received as a result of this event. On January 15, we had a remarkably good day, and I’m proud that my crew and I were up to the task. I am sure that this documentary will convey the ongoing power of this story and its ability to touch and inspire people around the world.
