Kate Gosselin on The View and Kate’s Weekend Meltdown

Kate Gosselin was guest hosting on The View today!

Team Kate fans are pleased that she continues to take the high road, with Kate’s public profile rising while Jon Gosselin–meh.  Guest host Gosselin dished to the ladies of The View about how she’s coping with Jon’s public antics and his angry interviews:

It’s hard. This is definitely different. But I react to it the only way I can, and I will continue to react that way. For the sake of my children I will continue to take the high road, because it is the only road for me. But to be honest, I had a meltdown over the weekend in the privacy of my own home.  People in the public eye are held to a higher standard and meltdowns happen; we’re all human.

TLC’s reality hit, Jon & Kate Plus 8 is in it’s fifth season and there have been many critics who say Gosselin should just pack it in. Kate Gosselin answered those who tell her to quit the reality show:

People say just stop and pull out. But I can’t. This is a job. I’m a single mom and I need to be out there working on my job. We didn’t go into this wanting to be huge celebrities. But it happened. But essentially I’m doing this by myself. I’m responsible now.
