Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt put an end to the most recent round of break-up rumors by stepping out and cuddling at the Director’s Guild of America Awards over the weekend.
And, Angie looked chic and gorgeous in a one-shoulder, sage Elie Saab dress and simple gold hoops. She wore a half-up / half-down hairstyle that worked perfectly with her gown and showed off her silky, shiny locks.
We spoke to Angelina’s hair stylist, David Babaii, to get the scoop on how to re-create her soft, romantic waves.
First, David used his signature Wild Aid Hair Polish through all of Angelina’s dark brown hair for control and extra shine. After drying her hair with a medium round brush and rounding the ends, he divided the hair into four sections: top, sides and back — leaving the nape area free.
“It is imperative to make the extra effort in sectioning prior to styling so you have total control at all times,” David advises.
Using a T3 large barrel curling iron, David wrapped 1-inch sections around the inside of the iron and holding for 10 seconds to create a soft wave pattern. After curling the entire head of hair in the loose wavy curls, David smoothed some additional Hair Polish onto his hands and used his fingers to gently loosen the waves. He then finished the look by using his fingers to put the sides and top sections into a half up/half down style, and used pins to secure it in place.
