Proving that fashionistas do eat, the Council of Fashion Designers of America has a new cookbook out.
The first “American Fashion Cookbook” features over 100 recipes from top designers including Diane von Furstenberg’s Saturday night chicken, Tory Burch’s Andalusian gazpacho, Michael Kors’s Grandma Bea’s pot roast, Carolina Herrera’s pommes toupinel, and Cynthia Rowley’s truffle mac and cheese.
Food and fashion go hand-in-hand, according to Cynthia Rowley. The designer told the Wall Street Journal that, “cooking, like designing, is a creative process,” Rowley says. “You need to start with the best ingredients, consider every detail, keep it loose and open-minded, and feel the spirit of the moment.”
