Emmy Awards 2009: Red Carpet Fashion Hits

As with any awards show–the fashion was the talk of the Red Carpet at the 2009 Emmy Awards. Though most of TV’s biggest names played it safe this year, there were some who went with current trends and pushed the envelope a bit — though nothing like Lady Gaga‘s outfits at the VMAs last weekend!

Our Favorite Red Carpet Looks:

One of the first ladies to hit the carpet: Project Runway’s Heidi Klum. In a black, formfitting strapless Marchesa gown with a mermaid hemline, the very pregnant Klum looked stunning. Tough to pull of with a ready-to-pop belly, but she did it!

Debra Messing went for simple chic in a red, one-shoulder dress. I love this look: from the way the color works perfectly with her hair, the subtle beading on her dress and the gold jewelry tying it all together.

Olivia Wilde was stunning in another Marchesa gown — playing the line between classic and edgy with ease.

The always stylish Vanessa Williams opted for a bolder look — with a colorful emerald gown and dramatic drop earrings.
