The always stylish Michelle Obama looked stunning tonight as she and President Barack Obama hosted the first official state dinner. Wearing an elegant, strapless gown by Indian-American designer Naeem Khan, the First Lady graciously greeted the Obama administration, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife to the White House.

The picture of elegance and sophistication, Michelle Obama paired the long, gold gown with a light shawl. In addition to selecting a design by Khan, who is known for his creations for music stars like Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez, Mrs O. kept with the Indian theme with a pair of chandelier earrings and a stack of gold-and-diamond bangles piled high on her left arm.
