We all fear those random breakouts – especially since they tend to come at the most inconvenient times!
I consulted April Meese, a makeup artist and skincare expert, and she said for pre-pimple preventative care, we can use an anti-bacterial exfoliating products like daily facial wash with Salicylic acid. This will go a long way.
But don’t stop there! Do a homemade facial peel once a week using ingredients you already have at home!
Crush 6-12 non-coated aspirin in a bowl. Aspirin has Salicylic acid, that exfoliates and helps clear up (acne) break-outs.
Then add 1-2 teaspoons of an acid like lemon juice to make a paste. Lemon juice has a pH around 2.8. Leave this mask on the skin for 5-15 minutes. This mask might sting any open areas of skin like cuts or open pimples on the face.
Follow with applying the neutralizer– 2 teaspoons of baking soda!
Your skin will love you — and you may also have a surprisingly fresh scent to go along with your clearer skin!

Honestly.. this kind of stuff does nothing. If you want to get rid of acne, fix your melatonin cycle and avoid sugar and carbs, especially after 1pm. Go to bed early and at the same time every night, get out and about during the day and especially around noon. The full routine is available at http://www.acneresearch.org. And the site is non-profit with no ads or items for sale, so don’t think I’m pushing you towards some 8-step treatment scam.

I know this facial works since I’ve worked in skincare with a famous NYC dermatologist for almost 10 years, in addition to that I was a guest on the Dr. Oz Show (showing him this exact facial recipe) in which he (and his team of scientist) proved that it does work. That can be verified on the shows website. This website has some viable information, but acne can have different causes (hormones, allergies, etc) for different people. Topical treatments with Salicylic acid have been proven to improve your skin.
