Super Bowl Cocktail Recipes: Team Spirits

What better way to show your team spirit this Sunday with cocktails tailored to your favorite team? Whether you’re cheering for the Saints or the Colts on Super Bowl Sunday 2010, serve up your spirit with these tasty recipes.

Super Bowl 2010 Recipes: Indianapolis Colts Fan Cocktails

- Colt 45: Similar to Red Bull and vodka, but with gin and a hit of Jagermeister too. Add 1 oz gin, 2 oz Jagermeister to a highball with ice. Top off with Red Bull.

- Blue Cosmo: a colorful spin on the cranberry martini: Add 2 oz Absolut® Citron vodka,  1 oz Blue Curacao liqueur, 1/2 oz grapefruit juice, 1/2 oz sugar syrup in a shaker with ice. Shake and pour into martini glass. Garnish with 1 maraschino cherry.

- Blue Lagoon: Mix 1 oz vodka, 1 oz blue curacao, 3 oz lemonade in a cocktail shaker. Mix and pour over crushed ice.

Super Bowl 2010 Recipes: New Orleans Saints Fan Cocktails

New Orleans is down for it’s nightlife and drinks! Here are a couple of classic New Orleans cocktail recipes:

- Hurricane: Add 2 oz light rum, 2 oz dark rum, 2 oz passion fruit juice, 1 oz orange juice, juice of a half a lime, 1 Tbsp simple syrup and 1 Tbsp grenadine in a shaker and shake well. Strain into a tall glass and garnish with an orange slice.

- Sazerac:

- 2 oz. Rye Whiskey
- ½ oz. Simple Syrup
- 5 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
- 2 dash Angostura Bitters
- ¼ oz. Herbsaint or Pernod
- 1 Lemon twist

Fill cocktail shaker with ice and add rye whiskey, simple syrup, Peychaud’s and Angostura bitters. Stir. Pour Herbsaint or Prenod in glass and swirl to coat inside of glass. Pour in contents of shaker and add lemon twist as garnish.
