weight training for women Fit Tip of the Day: Make the Most of Free Weight WorkoutsThe best thing about working out with free weights is that you can use them anywhere: the gym, at home, or even outdoors.  It can be simple to do a countless amount of reps without any technique behind them, but I’m going to teach you a trick on how to take your work out to the next level.

Try taking four seconds to perform each rep. Take the weights up for one count and lower them down for three counts and then repeat.  When you’re done with your set, reverse.  Take the weights up for three counts and bring them down in one.

This is a simple way to maximize your strength training and tone your arms, chest and any other area you’re focusing on. The benefit? More noticeable results!
