Coffee Can Lower Risk of Oral Cancer

Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts? Truth is, it doesn’t really matter as long as you’re an avid coffee drinker –- and when I say avid, I mean about five cups or more per day. That may seem like a lot and yes – some research might suggest it’s not good for you, however a new study proves coffee addiction can help ward off cancer.
Researchers at the University of Milan looked into nine studies comparing 5,139 people with both heart and neck cancer to 9,028 people without cancer and found that people who drink four or more cups of coffee per day have 39% lower odds of getting cancer.
The study was focused on oral and pharyngeal cancers. Since coffee is made up of thousands of components, they don’t believe that caffeine is the savior, but something about coffee is helpful!
