MAC Cosmetics Announces ‘Wonder Woman’ Collection

Sorry, Justice League: it looks like Wonder Woman has formed a superteam of her own. According to WWD, the DC Comics’ heroine is partnering with MAC Cosmetics to create a limited edition makeup collection of lipsticks, eye shadows, blush and nail lacquers.

The Amazonian princess is the latest in a long line of fierce MAC divas that includes Cyndi Lauper, Lady Gaga and Dita von Teese, but we’re pretty sure she’s the only one with superhuman strength, the power of flight and an Invisible Plane.

Not much else is presently known about the Wonder Woman lineup other than prices will range from $13 to $49.50 and the collection is set to arrive sometime in spring 2011. But of course, that hasn’t stopped anyone from offering their own ideas — “Invisible Plane” concealer, “Golden Lash-o” gold-flecked mascara and package designs playing on her Bracelets of Victory or signature red bustier — to name just a few.

Some geekGLOSS ideas:

–A “Themyscira” palette with shadows named for the six Olympian deities who blessed Diana with her superhuman abilities

–”Golden Tiara” highlighter and bronzer

–Tubes of Lipglass (MAC’s signature lipgloss) featuring metallic cuff-inspired caps, a golden eagle motif and names like “Amazon” or “Pleasure Island”
