Gloss Find: Skullcandy Roc Nation Aviator Headphones
I don’t wear headphones. Usually. However with kids often making a ruckus in the background while I’m trying to chat with a client on Skype or listen in on a conference call, I had to start researching options. Unfortunately, standard earbuds wouldn’t do — they don’t filter out enough noise and if you’ve met my sons, you know they’re loud.
Then I came across these stylish headphones from Skullcandy – their Aviator model isn’t only comfortable to wear, but they completely minimize background noise for crystal clear sound and they feature a microphone, so you can use them with your cell phone or on Skype or Facetime chats. I love the all-white version and they’re also available in black, bronze or “The Ting Tings” — named after and designed by the Indie pop duo.

This week, I came *this close* to finally getting an iPad. My tablet alternatives just couldn’t compare and I constantly experienced iPad envy when ALL MY FRIENDS whipped out their iPads.I was about to give in.
Handheld mini video cameras are must-haves in my book — they make capturing video while on the go and saving / sharing the files a snap. It all started with the Flip and now there are dozens (if not more) models to choose from. We’ve been testing out KODAK’s PLAYSPORT for the past few weeks and it’s our favorite mini-camera. Lightweight yet substantial, the PLAYSPORT looks and feels like it can take a beating. Plus, the 1080p HD video camera is waterproof (up to 10 ft.), shockproof (up to 5 ft.), and also captures 5 MP still shots. I let my 10-year old take the PLAYSPORT for a spin during a family trip to Disneyland — where it had it’s fair share of bumps and being dropped on the floor. The PLAYSPORT held up fine and took incredibly clear photos and video — even under water!
