We love the tag line for this new iPhone and Android app — “Lookup before you hookup” — that gives you the 411 on your dates before you take any next steps. Date Check from Intelius lets you quickly check the history of people you meet via their “Sleaze Detector” feature which lists arrests, living situation (i.e. if he’s got a girlfriend or spouse at home), and even how much his house is worth.
The app is free to download and for basic data, but once you locate that cute guy in the bar in their database, you’ll have to spring $40 for a full report on him.
