HTC designed the 4G smartphone just for Sprint.  The HTV Evo is a sleek new gadget that will have the distinction of being the first phone offered for a 4G network in the United States.  Wired.com has the details on The Evo which includes:

4.3-inch touchscreen
Two cameras
GPS navigation
Mobile hotspot capability

The Evo will run Google’s Android 2.1 operating system and HTC’s interface called the Sense.  Wired reports:

Despite its large touchscreen (the iPhone’s display is 3.5 inches, while the Nexus One and Motorola Droid have a 3.7-inch screen), the Evo feels comfortable.

Sprint says the 4G network can offer download speeds up to 10 times faster than current 3G networks, which is very interesting! The device is set to launch Summer 2010.
