Skin Care Tips for Thanksgiving Air Travel

SouthwestAirlines 300x163 Skin Care Tips for Thanksgiving Air TravelThanksgiving means travel for many families. Thanksgiving holiday weekend is traditionally the biggest travel weekend of the year for airlines.

Paula Begoun is a consumer expert on the cosmetics industry and best selling author. You may have seen Paula on Oprah, The Today Show or The View.  Paula’s book, Don’t Go To The Cosmetics Counter Without Me has sold millions of copies and Paula has tips for taking care of your skin while flying over the holiday weekend:

It is indeed drier at 35,000 feet, but if you don’t have dry skin it doesn’t really matter. If you have dry skin and you are taking a long flight somewhere you may need to reapply moisturizer or a really good toner.

For long flights over 6 hours Paula recommends traveling without makeup. Just before landing, you can wash up in the bathroom and apply makeup.

For shorter flights, wear makeup, but NO powder!  This way you don’t have anything drying on your face during the flight.
