Woman Gives Birth Aboard Southwest Flight

A woman flying from Chicago to Salt Lake City today got a surprise mid-flight…she went into labor!

With the help of a doctor and two nurses who were also on the flight, the woman safely gave birth to a baby boy.

“We now have a new passenger,” a flight attendant announced over the PA after the delivery.

The plane made an emergency landing at Denver International Airport, where the plane was met by medical personnel. The mother and her baby, along with other members of their family, were taken off the plane and to a local medical center, where a spokeswoman says they’re doing fine.
