On a recent Toddlers & Tiaras, a mom was upset that her 8-year-old daughter no longer fit into her $1,200 custom-made dress. So she put her 8-year-old daughter on a strict diet for the week leading up to the pageant.
What kind of mother puts a child a crash diet? Even worse, what kind of mom does this so her child can wear a $1,200 dress? Alyssa is the poor little girl who has the mother from hell. You can be sure that Alyssa is going to have body image issues and some kind of eating disorder due to her stage mother.
The worst part of this whole situation is that the mom has “put Alyssa on diets before” and that she “gets mad” if Alyssa doesn’t follow her eating rules. OMG.
Is this child abuse? Is Alyssa being subjected to emotional abuse? What do you think? Talk to the poll!

This is not child abuse. Putting your daughter on a strict diet for a week is a healthy choice for the child. If her mother thinks that her daughter should go on a diet she can do that. Shes just very worried about her 1 daughters weight. I once put my daughter on a diet and it wasn’t because i wanted her to suffer. I just wanted my daughter on a diet so she could go back to eating healthy again. It would be child abuse if the mother forced her to do beauty shows and to win she put her daughter on a diet. This is not child abuse its a regular thing to go on.
