A brunette Nicole Richie graces the cover of Marie Claire UK this month and inside, she dishes on her love of fashion, her clothing and jewelry lines, motherhood and those pesky eating disorder rumors.
The budding fashion mogul — with a jewelry line, the fashion brand House of Harlow 1960, a maternity collection for Pea In The Pod and the upcoming Winter Kate clothing and footwear line — and mom of two says she isn’t overwhelmed with the juggle.
“I’m a Virgo and really good at scheduling,” she tells the magazine. But don’t take that to mean she’s got round-the-clock childcare like many celebrities.
On having a nanny to help with the kids, Nicole says: “Not full-time, but I do have someone that helps me right now and, well, I have my mom, who’s here.”
On the endless rumors that her svelte figure is due to an eating disorder? Nicole is very clear on her feelings: “I definitely felt it was a little unfair to say someone has an eating disorder when they don’t. It’s extremely insulting and irresponsible. An eating disorder is serious and it’s a disease, and I don’t think you can lightly say that someone has a disease unless they’re openly telling you that they do.”
