laylagrace 300x300 2 Year Old Layla Grace Loses Battle With CancerLayla Grace, the beautiful 2-year old who captured the attention of the social media-sphere, lost her battle with a rare form of cancer today. Mom bloggers and celebrities rallied to raise support and awareness for the little girl and her family.

Chronicling the young girl’s battle with stage-four neuroblastoma — a cancer that occurs predominantly in children under the age of two, Layla Grace’s parents posted photos and updates on Twitter and Facebook to bring awareness to the disease and support. And, support they did receive — to the tune of over 23,000 followers on Twitter including celebrities like Ryan Seacrest and Guiliana Rancic who sent wishes to the family. News of Layla Grace’s passing came via Twitter this AM:

    I am so upset over little Layla’s passing. I’ve been following her story for quite some time and she is such a beautiful child! She has touched the lives of many people and she will always be loved and missed! Rest in Peace, sweet Layla Grace.

    The only consolation that I can even come up with this afternoon is that “finally” beautiful little Layla is peaceful and not in anymore pain and agony!! I am a parent as well as a grandmother and I cannot even begin to imagine the heartache that her family is dealing with today..My heart is aching for Layla’s entire family…RIP Layla – you are with the rest of the Angels now !!!
